The Purpose of Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

  • To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
  • To support the mission of the church worldwide,
  • To work for justice and peace,
  • To build an inclusive, caring, community of women, that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

Meet Our Seven Circles

Presbyterian Women includes all women who are members or friends of Desert Palms Church. All women are welcome to attend any PW activity by visiting our signup table in Fellowship Hall on Sundays or by contacting the Church Office. 


We are honored to currently have seven PW Circles, of over 200 women, that meet monthly to study, support, and provide service together. Our circles are named after seven important women in the Bible: Elizabeth, Esther, Lydia, Martha, Naomi, Phoebe, and Rebecca. All circles welcome new members so you may contact us to learn more about joining!


Elizabeth Circle

meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 9:30am in Fellowship Hall Room A. Contact person: Carol Goff.

Esther Circle

meets the 2nd Monday of the month at 9:00am in Fellowship Hall Room B. Contact person: Jackie Broderick.

Lydia Circle

meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:00am in Room A. Contact Person: Dorrit Briere.

Martha Circle

meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 11:30am in Fellowship Hall Room B. Contact person: Becky Panko.

Naomi Circle

meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:30am Fellowship Hall Room A. Contact person: Susan Lewis.

Phoebe Circle

meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:00pm, meet in homes. Contact person: Dodie Weiland.

Rebecca Circle

meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:00am in the Conference Room. Contact person: Carole Jean Soine.

Your PW Coordinating Team includes all circle leaders. Presbyterian Women welcomes new members to all circles, so please consider visiting a circle and participating. Visit the PW table in the Fellowship Hall in between services on Sunday or contact us through the link below to learn more about Presbyterian Women or when circles meet.
