Monday

In this session you’ll be introduced to the storyline of the Old Testament through the memorable acronym CASKET (which is the first part of the CASKET EMPTY acronym). Dr. Kaminski will teach on the first two periods, Creation and Abraham, focusing on the central figures of Adam, Noah, and Abraham, along with the Abrahamic covenant and promises.

Tuesday

The redemptive story of the Old Testament will continue with the period of Sinai, as Dr. Kaminski traces the storyline from Exodus to the book of Ruth. She will focus on the central figure of Moses, the Mosaic covenant, the tabernacle, and entrance into the promised land under Joshua.

Wednesday

This session focuses on the period of Kings, covering the united monarchy (Saul, David, and Solomon), the division of the kingdom, and the northern and southern kingdoms. Focus will be on the Davidic covenant, the Jerusalem Temple and prayer, and the prophetic hope of a new covenant and a Davidic king from the line of Judah.

Thursday

The storyline of the Old Testament will conclude with the periods of Exile and Temple, as God’s people return to Jerusalem, rebuild the temple, and renew the covenant. Attention will be given to Daniel and the prophetic hope beyond the exile, along with the prophets Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi, which prepare the way for the coming Messiah.
